One Year of Beholding Beauty

One Year of Beholding Beauty 🌿
A reflection on my first year as a fine artist and small business owner
On November 7th, 2024, I took a deep breath, stepped out in faith over fear, and officially launched Behold Fine Art — a collection of original oil paintings and fine art prints inspired by nature and faith.
What began as a quiet dream in my heart has bloomed into a tangible, joy-filled journey. It’s one painted with faith, creativity, and community.
Over this first year, I’ve learned that beauty can grow even in the busiest seasons. Between motherhood, weekend nursing shifts, and quiet studio hours, I’ve discovered that creativity always finds a way to flourish.
A Year of Growth and Gratitude ☀️
This past year has been full of color, courage, and learning — both on the canvas and behind the scenes. I’ve painted new original artworks and refined my fine art print process. I’ve enjoyed sharing my work with collectors and the Wilmington art community.
I participated in local artisan markets and took part in my first juried fine art exhibit. I also began creating monthly newsletters and blog posts that connect my art to the stories and rhythms of everyday life.
Most importantly, I’ve continued learning what it means to build a small business from the ground up — one brushstroke, one prayer, and one moment of courage at a time.
To each person who has encouraged, purchased, shared, or simply paused to behold my work — thank you. Your support, kind words, and presence have meant more than I can say. 🤍
A Fresh Chapter for Giclée Fine Art Prints 🌿
This season brings an exciting update for my print collectors.
My giclée fine art prints are now available in an elevated option printed on luxurious velvet watercolor paper. The soft, textured surface beautifully mirrors the richness of the original oil paintings. This print medium is truly one of my favorites! It creates a timeless, gallery-quality finish.
Collectors can also continue to choose from unstretched canvas or gallery wrapped canvas fine art prints. I partner with a local fine art printing studio here in Wilmington, North Carolina. Each giclée print is produced with professional care, color accuracy, and archival quality.
My print shop has been refreshed to reflect these upgrades — along with new, more accessible pricing — making it easier for collectors to bring a piece of Behold Fine Art into their homes.

It’s my way of expressing gratitude for everyone who has supported, encouraged, or shared in this first beautiful year of creativity and growth.
Looking Ahead 🌿
As I enter this next chapter, my heart is full of anticipation and gratitude. I’m continuing to explore new ideas in the studio — from gilded originals, a triptych, and hand-painted journals to upcoming seasonal offerings.
Each painting, print, and project reminds me that when we choose faith over fear, beautiful things unfold.
I love hearing from my collectors and supporters — it truly means so much. I’d love to know: what type of products would you be interested in seeing in the future?
Some ideas I’m researching include stickers, journals, greeting cards, and canvas totes. Which one would you vote for? Drop a note to me at beholdfineartbyblair@gmail.com with your suggestions!
Here’s to the first year of Behold Fine Art — and to the many more seasons of color, creativity, and community still to come. 🤍
Thank you for being here and allowing me to share this creative life with you.
