A Spring Studio Update
As the days begin to warm and signs of spring appear along the coast, I feel renewed inspiration. With the Wilmington Art Association Spring Show on the horizon, I wanted to share a little update from the studio.
The past month has been a slower season for my creative practice. Life occasionally brings stretches where painting pauses while other important parts of life require attention. Even during seasons like this, time outdoors continues to shape the ideas that eventually make their way into my paintings.
One of the pieces I finished earlier this year, The In-Between, reflects on that experience of standing between seasons. If you missed it, I shared the story and poem behind the painting in a previous blog post:

I’m honored that two of my original oil paintings were juried into the Wilmington Art Association’s 44th Annual Spring Show & Sale. The show takes place during Wilmington’s annual Azalea Festival.
