Field of Hope — Fine Art Prints
A field of sunflowers and a reminder to keep facing the light.
“Field of Hope” began as a painting without a name. As I was finishing this piece, I came across a passage that captured the feeling I wanted to express in this field of sunflowers so well. It put words to something I had already been feeling as I worked on the painting: the hope of continuing to turn toward the light, even when life feels difficult.
The words stayed with me, and eventually, they gave her a name.
“I hope to lie on a sunflower, even when depressed, still facing the sunlight.
Because I know that life is difficult more often than not. I will be sad, temporarily stop moving forward, and sometimes even despair, but there will always be a ray of sunshine in my heart, because I am lying on a sunflower.
A true strong person is not someone who never cries, but someone who runs forward while crying. As long as faith remains, hope will always exist. After all, what people live by is a kind of spirit.”

For me, that is the heart of “Field of Hope.” Life can be difficult. There will be seasons when we feel stuck, when we grieve, or when moving forward feels harder than we expected. But hope can remain. We can keep turning toward the light.
This field of sunflowers is my reminder of that.
