A peaceful reflection of color and calm, where the sunset lights the way along a path and the heart finds rest.

This painting was inspired by a sunset dinner with my family on the South End of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. The South End is a quiet stretch along the intracoastal waterway, often referred to by my children as “the calm water.”

The beach has always been one of my favorite places to pause, reflect, and listen. Although God is always near, I hear Him most clearly here — in the stillness, the quiet, and the gentle rhythm of the waves. South End Sunset was painted to hold onto a moment of peace and beauty shared with my family, when the light lingered and the water seemed to whisper rest.
