The idea for this piece came alive after visiting a sunflower field with my family at a local North Carolina farm in the summer of 2019. I have the sweetest memories of my children — then 5, 3, and 16 months old — exploring and toddling through rows of towering sunflowers craning high above their little heads. We spent the morning picking flowers, visiting the farm animals, and soaking in the sunshine.

I remember watching butterflies and bees alight on the blooms — a detail that caught my eye and lingered in my heart, a snapshot I knew I wanted to paint one day. It became a gentle reminder, in the midst of raising little ones, to pause and really see the beauty before us. It’s always there, if only we stop long enough to behold it.

Sunflower Field celebrates that fleeting summer joy — the warmth of family, the hum of life, and the radiance of simple beauty.

Printed on flat, museum-quality canvas with a matte finish that is water-resistant and durable. Prints larger than 11x14 are shipped rolled and ready to frame with or without glass. A ¼-inch border is added outside the total dimensions of the artwork for matting or framing.

Stretched Canvas

Printed on museum-quality, gallery-wrapped canvas with a matte finish that is water-resistant and stretched over 0.75" bars. If desired, 1.5" stretcher bars are available upon request.
